Lantau Cable Cars

Don’t they look like ants walking a tightrope?

I like riding in cable cars. They give you views similar to satellite pictures, except that they are in motion. Everything is so small, neat, tidy and clean. As if they are models.

Why is it that things look so beautiful at the macroscopic as well as microscopic level, but not at the normal size? Is it really true that familiarity breeds contempt? When you see something all the time, even the beautiful loses its luster? So you need to see it a new way to appreciate it?

It is the long waiting line that I cannot stand.
