To occupy, or not

The so called Big4 accountancy firms publicly stated their opposition to the Occupy Central Movement, with a large, expensive advertisement in a newspaper.

Some of their staff stated in response, that their employers to not represent them in this instance.  With a much smaller advertisement in another newspaper.

The wealthy, the powerful, and the well-connected benefit from their privileged  positions in the status quo.   They do not wish the system to be opened with more control passed to the people  Those who want to change the system to be more open do not have the funds, the power and the connection to effect the change.  Their only hope is in their numbers, that they are the majority.  Only when enough of us are willing to stand up to demand the change, that real change is possible.  Freedom will not be given to us.  It has to be earned.

Non-violent civil disobedience is an acceptable method to achieve justice. My prayer is that well-meaning people who demand changes do not resort to violence.  And pro-establishment types do not incite or provoke violence to discredit the peaceful protestors.
